Recommended Products for Home Health Cabinet

I have created a list of my favorite items that should be in every home health cabinet. These items make excellent additions to my products and ensure that your cabinet is ready for the all-to-common bumps, cuts, bites, sniffles, tummy upsets, soar throats, & everything in-between 😊


🌿 Probiotics

A healthy gut microbiome is the first & most important step in preventing illness. 70% of immune cells are located in the gut! An unbalanced gut, with more "bad" bacteria strains, can lead to frequent illness, allergies, & mood disorders. Children & adults should be on a daily probiotic. My favorite brand is RAW. 🌿 Activated Charcoal

Activated Charcoal is a must have in all home health cabinets. At the very first sign of illness- stomach cramping, nausea, diarrhea - begin to dose you or your children with this gem of a product! It will stain all food/drink products black, but it is tasteless. We add ours to whatever our kiddos can stomach, usually applesauce. The charcoal has a very large surface area, it enters your stomach & intestines & quickly absorbs toxins before they enter the bloodstream and become systemic.


  • 1/4 teaspoons for children 2-3 times daily

  • 1 teaspoon for adults 2-3 times daily


🌿 Magnesium Bath Salt

Bathe in magnesium salt to help alleviate sore muscles & detox the body of toxins. It is important to soak in hot temperatured water to increase your body's core temperature. Bacteria, viruses, mold & fungus have a hard time surviving in warm temperatures.


🌿 Sodium Bicarbonate

Baking soda is extremely diverse. Many do not know the healing powers of baking soda. Add 1/2 teaspoon to water & drink on an empty stomach to increase your body's alkalinity when you feel under the weather. Bacteria, viruses, mold, & fungus can not survive in an highly alkalized environment.


🌿 Garlic (cloves & oil)

A single clove of garlic contains many nutrients that promotes healing, boosting the immune system, and preventing infection. It contains manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin c, and selenium. It is an anti-viral & anti-bacterial. Place a couple drops of Garlic Ear Oil in an infected ear multiple times a day to heal an ear infection.


🌿 Peppermint

Peppermint is an excellent remedy for digestive issues. It calms the muscles of the digestive tract, helping alleviate tummy aches. Eat the raw leaves right off the plant! Or place 1 drop peppermint extract into water and drink.


🌿 Ginger Tea

For adults (adjust ratio for children)

  • 1-2 ounces of fresh ginger juiced

  • 1/4 lime juice

  • 1 tbsp. wildflower honey

  • 1/8 teas. Cayenne pepper

  • 8 oz of water


At first sign of Illness, drink 2-6 cups daily. This is a highly effective remedy, especially for the flu. I absolutely love this tea!


🌿Fresh Basil

Buy yourself a basil plant that can sit in your window seal. Basil is an excellent remedy for digestive issues including indigestion, gas, acid reflux, and tummy aches. Eat the raw leaves right off the plant! Basil contains Vitamin A, K, Iron, Manganese, and Calcium. It is rich in eugenol which acts as an anti-inflammatory for the digestive tract. Basil extract/tincture is also available, place a couple of drops in water.








🌿Colloidal Silver

A must have in every home health cabinet. It is a mineral that can be used for a wide range of aliments. It is an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral that is excellent for boosting immune system. It can be used directly on the skin or consumed internally. Can be used for bacterial pink eye. Place 1-2 drops in each eye 4 times daily.



🌿WildFlower Honey

Raw, unfiltered honey has a wide range of benefits. It is anti-bacterial & anti-fungal, it helps heals wounds & burns, provides an array of nutrients when consumed internally, and can help with seasonal allergies.










🌿Potassium Iodine

For alleviating a sore throat- Gargle 10 drops potassium iodide mixed with a teaspoon of powdered whole-food vitamin C in a glass of water. This should bring relief within a matter of hours.



🌿Whole-Food Vitamin C (not absorbic acid)

At the first sign of illness, increase your intake of vitamin C. I always have Vitamin C capsules in my cabinet. They can be opened and the powder can be poured into any liquid for your little ones. Vitamin C is essential for the proper functioning of immune cells. It stimulates neutrophils to migrate to the site of infection. It acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.
